Change *clink clink*

So I've been looking around and trying to find a place that might carry Euros with pre-punched holes through the middle for a few ideas/projects that I've had on the back burner for a little bit.

Hmmmmm not so lucky in that department lol. I know a local story that I *should* be able to get the coins at or if not could order them in but I'll have to check with them to be 100% sure. I also have an idea for where I might be able to get holes punched in the coins... less sure about that but it is a real possibility.

Anyway should be fun if I can get all the things I need to get started on them.

cheers my ducky dears

OH NOES I'M BACK AGAIN!

So I just stumbled across THE BEST t-shirt shop this side of Zion!

It is called 8 Apparel!

LOL I know what I'm getting Paul for Christmas! Oh snap have I not come across something this funny since I got Paul This t-shirt as part of his Christmas as a jab and tongue-in-check lol at LDS male culture a Christmas or two ago. And guess what his P-day tees from me will be *insert EVIL older sister Grinch like grin here* MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Some of my favorite tees:

MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!111

OH MAN EDIT:
I just stumbled across another site/store and this one is just as good (bad!?)lol!

Seriously So Blessed

*A MEGA SHOUT GOES UP FROM ACROSS ZION AND MOST OF ALL FROM PROVO* to quote the Craig's fan gurl fan club (hee hee hee @ Craig)

If your not reading "What Mormons Like"

...then you are taking yourself to serious.

From their mission statement: "Helping Mormons Laugh at Themselves Because They Feel Guilty Mocking Others."

You have to be able to laugh at yourself lol plus it is good clean fun to start each morning. Give it a go and get laughing.

*goes off chortling to self*

Just musing and wondering.

So these are my random thoughts for the day and your $0.02 are all welcome.

So I was reading through Sunday's PostSecrets and there was one about a person that went through chemo and was not able to have kids and how they felt unimportant to the human race now. So It made me wonder would I (or any of you) marry a person that you knew could not have kids if you loved them? Would you stayed married to a person that could not have kids after you just got married (like you found out less then 6 months to a year after you got married)? If you had been trying for a long time like years and found out that they could not? Is it that important to have kids for you?

And to the people that say they would just adopt... well what if you where to poor to adopt? Then would you still stay married to the person?

Ok what if you where the person that was the infertile one? How would you feel? What would you say and do?

title or description

I don't know how I would feel personally. I think I would feel like I let them down but I would love my husband first and kids are a secondary thing in a marriage (albeit important in many ways). I still don't know how I feel about adoption. I know I sound like a bigot but I want kids that look like kids I would have. I guess that would also change if I married outside of my heritage and background. There are also other factors like how my husband's family would feel that I 'cheated' them out of grand kids and the family name being passed down. If he was the only male child or the only one that was going to have kids in his family or such. Then there are cultural and religious pressures to deal with as well.

So much to think about. What do you think about it?

On a similar note it always make me wonder when I see those young LDS couples (and others I'm not picking on anyone here ^_^) that have not been married even nine - ten months to a couple years and they already have a kid/s. Do they even really know each other? I want a year or more to know my new husband before I even think about kids. A new husband, a new life, a new living situation, a new house/apt and so very much more and now they already have another new little life to deal with and fit into this new life of theirs. (not that kids are bad so don't think that I'm saying that people just musing out load here) I just think "...first comes love then comes marriage...." and when the times is right and you both know each other as husband/wife, friend, lover and even gotten in whoppers of fight and know how to work through pain and anger and still know that you will always care for the other... and have the time and money and stable environment and only then "....then comes the baby in the baby carriage".

So yeah that is my brain leak for the morning.

Happy Joy Joy

So I dunno why but I just feel at peace and happy for no reason at all.

I was just going along and checking my blog/ fav sites online when the thought just came out of left field and hit me that I really am happy.

My life is not perfect or any of that kind of mish-mash but I really am just happy with how things are going and what is happening right now.

Sometimes we find joy and peace in the hecktive-ness of our lives and I've just had a taste of that lol. Odd but a nice feeling.

I hope all you my friends both far and near are feeling some kinda of joy and bliss this week.

*bops to the beat*

EDIT:

Oh more bliss I found another mix that is close to the one I was looking for lol! Talk about joy ^____^

mp3 I can't find thee

I can't find the mp3 (to buy or free) for this certain mix of this song...

The mix is this one:

Fragma - Embrace Me (Doboy Ibiza Vocal Mix)

It is a DIFFERENT mix of the song in this youtube vid.

The mix in the youtube video is "Fragma - Embrace Me (Wippenberg Remix)" of the song "Embrace Me" by the Fragma Project (a German dance project) made up of four people.

It drives me nut when I can't find something so I lay down and grovel for a helping hand lol.

Tomorrow's I want to touch on Geocaching variation but I'm to dead for that right now.

Day 3 and still ouchie >.<

So I told some of you about how I slipped on the wet leaves going down the front porch steps the other day and fell off the last couple steps and did the splits XD and then landed on my left knee and left foot.

Only thing hurt other then my pride lol was my left knee that is all better and my left foot... still ouchie.

So yeah it is still swollen and tender and has a scab on it. So here is a pic just for Craig our lil podophilia (Foot fetish/lover) out there.

Plz ignore the hair and how ugly my foot is -_-

You can see that my foot is swollen and my flip flop strap mark lol

New song for ya today ^_^

Long time no post lol

ManDingo For the WIN!

(And if you don't like the title well all I have to say is you are on my Journal and it is morning so what do you expect XD)

To the rest of those right winged people better luck with a McBush in four years *sob* lol

So I find it funny that Utah pretends to be red but if you cut them they bleed blue (in other words they voted McCain *red* but they voted mostly Democratic *blue* for the local state politics).

Anyway in other news our local props 1 and 2 passed so that will really help the Zoo and the aviary. As far as California's news prop 8 passed as well.

I'm rather happy and or not surprised with the out come of most of the election results. Both local and nationally.

*NOM NOM NOM*

Oh man after checking the lines at the polls me and John hit up a new little Czech cafe on 9th South called "Johnny Kolache's".

Oh man and do they have good Kolaches! I like the ham and cheese one, very nummy! To bad they did not have any pastry ones for sale yet (we hit them up a little after 7am).

It was already pouring when we got down there. So the storm is well on its way and it is still raining right now.

New beats for the day

Everything Is Borrowed - The Streets

That's Not My Name - The Ting Tings

1,2,3,4 - Plain White T's

Do your part - VOTE!

So just reiterating that we all need to come out and vote! Even more so if you are young. Lets hear your voice this election!

Anyway I thought that I would toss up my favorite US propaganda piece since we have been bombarded for so many months leading up to today for the elections.

First off the most iconic and recognizable one:

This image was in all reality a miss labeling of the character of Rosie. It was one of the many images that was around during the labor crises during WWII to entice women to help during the labor shortage from the lack of factory workers during the war.

And now the Original piece that was first called "Rosie the Riveter":

I love how she has her feet crushing a copy of Mein Kampf! And her look is great! I just love this version of Rosie!

And a Time Magazine cover that is a modern take on this image to run along with their article about teens volunteering:

Anyway like these images are try to say in their timelessness get out there and do your part today!

T-minus 1 day

So do you know where your polling place is?

I've heard that lines are going to be upwards of 3 hours long in waits..... >.> gee fun. I think I'll go before it opens and see how long the lines are and hope for the best.

So I think I'll only be voting for two GOPs this go around. Which ones I'll just let you puzzle over that.

Anyway I'm interested to see what way the state swings this time. I bet they will die if it goes blue. I mean what is the last time if there ever was a time that the state was a blue state?

Oh well. In any case get off your butt into the falling snow (coming just for you to make your voting day oh so much better ya know) and cast your vote. Cause you know someone has to negate my vote ya know... right? lol

Are we human or are we dancer?

Just thought that I would throw up this youtube video to this great little song from my last post!

Human - The Killers
You know you want to click me ^_^
By the way the video was shot in Utah. Kinda interesting.

Been hearing it on x96 and just love the chorus (a dancer is a puppet... are you a puppet? Taken from the disparaging comment made by Hunter S. Thompson about how America was raising a generation of dancers.)

Lyrics:
I did my best to notice
When the call came down the line
Up to the platform of surrender
I was brought but I was kind
And sometimes get nervous
When I see an open door
Close your eyes
Clear your heart

Cut the cord
Are we Human?
Or are we Dancer?
My sign is vital
My hands are cold
And I'm on my knees
Looking for the answer
Are we Human?
Or are we Dancer?

Pay my respects to grace and virtue
Send my condolences to good
Give my regards to soul and romance
They always did the best they could
And so long to devotion
You taught me everything I know
Wave goodbye
Wish me well

You got to let me go
Are we Human?
Or are we Dancer?
My sign is vital
My hands are cold
And I'm on my knees
Looking for the answers
Are we Human?
Or are we Dancer?

Will your system be alright
When you dream of home tonight?
There is no message we're receiving
Let me know is your heart still beating?

Are we Human?
Or are we Dancer?
My sign is vital
My hands are cold
And I'm on my knees
Looking for the answer

You got to let me know
Are we Human?
Or are we Dancer?
My sign is vital
My hands are cold
And I'm on my knees
Looking for the answer
Are we Human
Or are we Dancer?

Are we Human?
Or are we Dancer?

Are we Human
Or are we Dancer?

Another book for the list (and a another show to miss...)

So I just saw another ad for what looks like a neat show that alas I will not be able to see right now. It is on Sci-fi channel and I lack the illegal hooks-ups for cable lol.

Anyway the Show is called "Legend of the Seeker" and from the fallowing two youtube vids I think that if you like fantasy (LotRs, HP, Golden Compass etc.) then you might just like this as well.

Trailer:

And 10 min. show preview: Well worth the 10 mins in my POV...

Wow now that I'm hyped and depressed that I can't watch the two hour season premier tomorrow I should let you know that they have the first 30 mins to download off iTunes free lol!

But I guess that I can take salice in the fact that this awesome looking show is based off of books in the "The Sword of Truth" series by Terry Goodkind (11 books in the series ^_^).

*sigh* reminds me that I need to add the cable series of "EarthSea" to netflix (also based on a book XD). From the trailer on Netflix it looks kinda like HP set in the time of Arthur.

Anyone want to get me something for my b-day or Christmas has a few ideas now what I want lol. My free time reading list just keeps on growing and growing ^_^

Some of my favorite shops!

If your reading this journal it is a good bet that you know me and know that I'm very odd. lol so with that I thought that I might share some of my favorite shops that have some fun and neat things. Some off the beaten path and some just not really known that well.

-First up is Threadless: http://threadless.com/
Has the BEST t-shirts (and some pink ones lol Craig) that are made my artist voted on and then sold. So in other words you can vote on what t-shirts you want and like and if they win they will e-mail to tell you that you can now buy them!

-Second is Squishables: http://www.squishable.com/s/
I don't think many people know that I have collected stuffed animals both large and small since I was a little kids. But then again I like odd things so this site takes a twist on it. They sell semi large stuffed animal-ish pillows! Cool round animal pillows ^_^! Go have a look to see what I mean.

-Third is Etsy: http://www.etsy.com/index.php
This is a really cool place. Think of it like ebay for handmade things. Now I know what many people think when they hear handmade.... but this stuff is so much higher quality then you'd ever believe! It is like walking into a mall store. And they sell almost anything you can think of. From Jewry and clothing to beautiful things to decorate you house. I love seller gfox88's steel rings and amlowi's knitted hats. Just type something in and see what you can find.

-Fourth and last for tonight is Uncommon Goods: http://www.uncommongoods.com/
This place is a bit pricier then the others but it has a lot of cool and quirkier things for the house and yard. Not everything is a ton of money but enough of it is. Anyway it is a cool and neat place to pick up that odd "odds and ends". I picked up a cute little buddha bowl and mug from here and love them to death!

Whelp that is it for right now. And yep my taste is odd ^_^

Feeling drained

I just got done helping Rachel and she kinda blew it off as nothing and went image surfing for pics of her boy toy crush 'The Judist Brothers' while I scanned Beowulf for phrases that would fit her HW.

....more then an hour later after finding all she needed but one I got sick of her thinking my help was nothing and her wasting time on the interweb and tossed the book back at her and told her to find it herself.

She said "should I ask the others (family) to find it then"? >.> ummm no as you are in an honors class you SHOULD be doing it yourself not looking for more images of that damned band to slather all over your notebook.

She looked for a few mins and then just stuck crap in the last spot and then gathered up her crap and left my room.

I'm sorry but if I'm helping you with something and you think my help is nothing worth while and you don't show me that you appreciate it then just go bump it on down the road and don't ask for my help.

I'm tired and worn out and feel dead so with bleary eyes and a belittled smack to the face I was not going to take it.

It shows that I've been worn out by my midterm crap and I was just not going to take her crap.....

uggg venting it feels good!

LOL its days like these that I'm glad that I have nonsensical fuzzy eared hats to jam on my head and make people wonder about my sanity ^_^

I see dead people O.O

Ok not really lol.

So since I have no plans and no plans to run my siblings around trick-or-treating (neither want to as they feel to old to) I'm looking up horror flicks for Halloween.

So popcorn and chills are the plans for me and as such I'm now digging through them on netflix. First off is "Fido" a horror/comedy. No reason ya can't have a laugh while shivering. Next we have "The Return" which is in the same vain as the J-horror (Japanese Horror) favorite "Ju-on" ("The Grudge" In America) and "Ringu" ("The Ring") but American made. One of those ones that keeps you guessing until the very end. Good thing because I have a tendency to be able to figure many films out before the mid point and that can make it a tad boring for me (lol John hates when I can tell him who or what did it by the mid point in a movie). Next is the remake of Hong Kong horror/thriller "Gin Gwai". "The Eye" is about a blind woman given sight after an operation only to start seeing things. Not a new idea by any stretch but hey it looks like it can squeeze a few jumps and spooks out of it.

*sigh* It is rather hard to find a good horror flick that is not either 1)a slasher flick, or 2) rated 'R'. And when trying to get films that both John will watch and Paul and Rachel will not bock at it is kinda tuff. So I hope they like the pick I have made for a fun and shivering Hallow's Eve.

Makes you wonder

Saw this on Post Secret and it makes you wonder if it will be attempted. I know I brought it up to John in passing once a while ago and he said he would not be surprised if some kook tried it but failed horribly.

Taggin Up by the U

Saw this and just had to capture this and post it up. This is on the old tennis courts in 'University Town' by the U of U just off 13th East and 1st South I believe.

It was up once before and then got covered up and then a few days later appeared again.

Its odd. I mean how often do you see anything like Arabic graffiti in Utah of all places? Interesting.

Finally caught it last night while out with the siblings running errands.

GenCon

So every year (half year) when the General Conference happens there are two things that come to my mind. The way the speakers sound when they talk in the Tabernacle and Conference center and how it is a sound from my childhood and also the rage at the people that feel the need to protest among the people walking by and attending.

Even when I was struggling with my anger at certain people in the church it still filled me with rage at the people I saw waving those hate filled signs and shouting venom at the people going by.

Do they have nothing better to do then tear people down? Even if they do not see Mormons as Christians they think of theirselves as Christian so as such they should be treating all people as Christ would.

It just makes me wanna take a baseball bat to their heads and beat them until they are putty smeared across the pavement. Not very Christian myself but that it truly how I feel about them. Ever time I'm out Saturday and I am downtown I just can't help but drive by them and it fills me with even more anger at them. I know before hand that I should not and that it is just going to enrage me even more but, I just can't stop doing it.

I should take a page from all the people that walk by them and ignore them or just treat them like the humans that they *think* they are. It just shows that you never see members do that kinda crap and would never even think to do that to other faiths or people... because we know that whatever a person thinks or does, good or bad that they are our brothers and sisters and God loves them.

I just don't see why they would drive from all over (other states even) do tear a person/people down. They plan ahead and send out fliers and dvds and spread the word. To what? To make arses of themselves and to try and belittle others in public.

They even had a LARGE police force out encase something happen this last weekend. Very sad that it might be needed because they feel small about their views and need to rip down others. So very un-Christ like.

Yellowstone and Grand Teton

So like a posted earlier via PSP I'm back all the way home this time (not just in Utah).

We set out at about a little after 5am Thursday on our 4 hour and 40 min drive to Jackson (*cough more like 5-6 hours cough*). After taking a wrong turn just before Cokeville and turning about and getting back on track we started our drive through Bridger Nation forest. Beautiful place with the surprise that cattle and sheep graze freely through it and across the open highway that cuts through it. Also many great views of the mighty Snake river.

After we got to Jackson and checked into our room we rested up for a couple hours took potty breaks and had lunch then set out for Teton.

Driving through Grand Teton National Park we saw beautiful colors of Fall hanging from the trees, along the road old park signs from the 40s-50s warning us the animals crossed and that we needed to keep speeds slow. Since we wanted to enter the park through the South end we had to go up through Teton. Entering Yellowstone Park proper we where greeted by towering tree lined roads that soon gave way to sweeping views that dropped from the side of the road into a river more then 300 plus feet below (insert a very freaked out up ah inspired me). After awhile on the driver's side we came upon the largest lake we had seen! Lewis Lake is a monster of a lake, a deep and wondrous blue..... well that is NOTHING! to Yellowstone Lake (yeah lake lol). After passing through some road work we made it to Old Faithful. Unlucy for us we did not get to see it go off -_-... time and sunshine was running out o us so we pushed on to some of the other geysers in the Upper and Middle basin. After stopping for some more photos we piled back in and set off again.

While laughing and talking I just barely noticed us passing the first animal we had seen (ok I lied we had a female mule deer dart past us on the road but...). There on the side of the road in a field was a BUFFALO!!!

After many ooohs and aaahs we jumped back in and went on. After a little more we came upon a whole ton of cars pulled off and gawking at many elk grazing and drinking in a river. We pulled off and join in snapping some pics. After getting back in and pulling off in the "pull off" we took some more elk pics and then continued on up the road. As the sun was failing we came upon the most awesome sight yet. Two HUGH BUFFALO where walking along the passenger side of the road. We where going so fast that we had to double back. As we passed them the second time I had John slow down almost to a stop and with my flash got some up close and personal pics of these MASSIVE beautiful animals! (my fav pics of the whole trip ^_^). lol when the flash went off on the second one the buffalo looked over and started walking our way! Eeek this big guy was within arms length already O.O! I told John to gun it lol. The BEST WAY to end a Yellowstone visit all be it a short one (well several hours but felt short lol I guess things always do when you are doing things like this).

After a few hour drive through Idaho back to Jackson we crashed in our room and slept hard for 7 hours. (got there at 11pm-ish and got to bed around 12:30am-1am and woke up at 8:15am)

After showering and getting ready we cleaned up the room and checked out and was on our way back home by 9:45-10:30am. On the way back we passed through Afton and stopped for a bit of lunch and to let the kids look around. We also passed through a very small town called "Smoot" with a population of only 100! I kids you not... that was less then any town we passed through in Idaho last year.

At some point we took a new turn that diverged from the way we took to get to Jackson in the first place and ended up passing Bear Lake and and through Cache Forest and some much more!

So onto the pics! (..that are for some reason out of order :/)
