O-town small town values, big city problems. It is very pretty and then you look again and see the urban decay and crumbling old parts.

Ugh can't find the post....

Well from what I recall it was thus:

-8-12 books
-3 new bands and 2 new CDs from thus bands
-learn plus size yoga
-go to 1 or was it 2 concerts

...some other stuff that I for the life can't recall and can't find the frakken list grrrrr.

So from what I can recall off the top of my head here is what I done thus far:

-7 books: Dresden Files 1-4, The Sword of Truth 1-3.
LOVE LOVE LUUUUUUV the SoT series! Don't want to really read House of Leaves for the ONTDcreepy book club that I was looking forward to reading after looking it up but, dang the SoT series just has a grab on my imagination and I can't wait to pick up the 4th book "Temple of the Winds" and continue on the adventure with Richard, Kahlan, Zed and the rest. Love both the Dresden Files and the SoT series so I've very glad that I found them!

-Oh wow so many new bands lets see if I can list them?
Just Jack (1 CD)
Grizzly Bear (1 CD)
Daniel Merriweather (1 CD)
Lost on Propose
Gears of the Apparatus (1 CD via mp3s)
Pillar (3 CD)
Swimming With Dolphins (1 CD)
Flogging Molly (took them for a spin 1 CD)
MC Frontalot (1 CD + mp3s)
Jamie's Elsewhere
Keane
Dead by Sunrise

I not sure if this is all of them or if for example Just Jack was just before I set the list of goals. I really thought this was going to be the hardest goal to meet. Odd huh. I have had not really gone outside the mainstream alt-rock much before this other then a song here or there as my fav genre and sound was alt-rock. Don't get me wrong I had a eclectic taste in musci before but it has gotten so much more eclectic this year. (For example Craig always found it surprising that I like MoTab Mormon Tabernacle choir and I don't find it odd at all. It is the hymns that I grew up on and they are beautiful. I always find it interesting to see what kinda of people outside the Mormon faith also enjoy their singing beside us Mormons, even this Jack one XD) When you are lucky to pick up a CD every month or so (2 if you go used like ebay or half.com) then you gotta be careful what you buy and have a good idea if you are going to like the rest of the CD or risk a big stinker where you wished you just bought the one or two songs you liked on iTunes or amazon. So I'm happy that I've stummbled through many way into some songs that sent me digging on the web for more info and free things from the bands to listen to.

Great places to find music and info are as fallows:
-http://www.wikipedia.org/ (info is a plus)
-http://www.aimini.net/ (free songs)
-http://www.youtube.com/ (free listen and song bands link downloads)
-http://www.myspace.com/ (a band's myspace)
-http://www.facebook.com/ (a band's facebook)
-http://bandcamp.com/ (lots of great indie bands here with free/$0.99 songs)
-http://www.google.com/ (try googling for a band site for info, downloads and stores)

And as always shop around for great prices on CDs:
-http://www.half.ebay.com/ (always check the seller's rating and go with the best rating you can)
-iTunes, amazon, etc.
-chain stores; FYE, Bestbuy, barnes and Noble, Amazon, etc.

I really really enjoy music. If you love poetry and writing and the abstract imagery that is wonderful in writing how can you not enjoy music?

-I've always wanted to learn to do yoga and from my searches of the web I knew that there was yoga for almost everyone. After I hunted down a book and got it it was just a matter of stretching into a flabby pretzel. Not a pretty sight but very enjoyable I must say. Do what you want in life and don't let size or other such trivial matters get in your way. Plus size yoga books and DVDs are out there so go try it.

-Went to the Owl City concert that was in Salt Lake just a lil while ago. It was a blast and only the second I've been to. I have ticket's to their next one and I hope that Plain White T's make it back out to Utah like they said that they where going to at the concert last Oct.

I know it looks like I was just being a spendy person but in reality it was just trying to do things that I have not done before and try new bits of life.

So All-in-all I think that my fun, silly goals are coming along nicely.

Sometimes it seems that ones life has been pushed down the rabbit hole. Up & down w/ all other knowns no longer exist or work.

week 43 (+8) Fitness to Survive the Apocalypse

43

-George W. Bush, 43rd president of the United States. (<--This is why the apocalypse is nigh and you need to get ZombieFit! lol)

I think in the past I've mentioned my interest in Parkour. Anyway I was on this site called Shrink Geek when they brought up an alternative exercise program called Zombiefit. The tag line for their program is "Fitness to Survive the Apocalypse" and somewhere in the back of my mind I heard banjos playing and thought hipster apocalyptic nuts with a side order of LMAO cool-ness.

Watch this:

Now tell me that does not look fun and very VERY awesome!

What a interesting and fun way to get fit (and get away from your flesh eating neighbors XD).

House of Leaves came today & I want to dig into it but I'm not quite done with TSoT book 3 yet. Dang.
Really dislike hitch-hicking bums coming up to me wanting rides. What do you say to such people? Give me ur best line to get them to leave!
Wow did today just fly by. -yawn-
5-ish hours of sleep is not enough. Ugh...

Saw a license plate that said: IMB4U. O.o lol
Oh my way up to O-town/Ogden. Nothing good to listen to on either of the NPR stations.

Listening to NPR & they are talking about non-combat PTSD. Sounds a lot like DP/DR in the disassosiation -sp?- that happens.
