Revisiting my ideas involving the "Dream Dragon/Night-Terror" story (The one about Baarup) I've been thinking over the evil back history of these creature and the people out to control them.
Here is my idea for the evil sect that use to use them in horrible ways. Some of the foot soldiers for the sect, the really feared ones are called Sandmen (Sandman). They are the Dark Scribes, the Blood Scribes of the sect. They and their muscle of thugs capture people focusing on children and women but taking any and all people to fulfill their needs. The bring them back to their garrisons.
There they place them in cells surrounding the clutches of eggs where a horrible smelling incense is burning. It burns the eyes and fogs the mind. There families are torn apart and put in separate cells. Out of reach of each other but within sight of each other. Here is where the Scribes get to work. When the prisoners are over come by the incense the scribes use ashes from the incense, they blow it into the prisoners faces where almost immediately they are raked by horrible seizures and screams of unimaginable fear. Using a knife to cut the person, they gather the trickling blood using it to write on their vellum only the Shaper (Their Creator) knows what. These vellum are cursed things that are later passed to the blind Elders of the sect that sit in the poisoned incense and chants from the scrolls in a tongue not heard this side of life. Then the scrolls are burned in the incense pyres. These ashes are mixed with some of the hatched egg shell from the Night-Terrors to make the powder they blow in the face of the prisoners.
All this deforms and molds the unhatched dracs into monsters, horrible creatures that the Sect uses to further its iron stranglehold of the lands.
The Sandman are dark cloaked people donning mask of monsters and viscous animals. On their backs they carry large messenger tubes that house the scrolls of cursed vellum. Of the few that have lived to tell the tale of their escape they still have dreams of the rasping sound of the Blood Scribes breathing through their horrible mask and the smell of chard blood and ash.
Just some ideas for the history of the Sect (better name might be coming in the future lol). $0.02 welcome.

Patch Poll 3.0 - Plz vote or comment!
So here I am again looking for some opinions on my patch WIPs and now the placement of the UCI and how you like the text I have chosen or if you have another that you think would work better.
Remember this is suppose to be a Steampunk-ish designed patch. And is suppose to have the feel of an olde (yep old with a 'e' if ya know what I mean) map or parchment or a book.
First up is the idea that sprang from my head and after working up the patch and trying this element out I just today decided that it was not going to work. Its a little bit to modern and doesn't meld well with the patches. I might try to fool around with it more free hand with pencil and try to get it working better with the new font and design. ...but for now it is scrapped pending a re-engineering (with similar format that is).

Am I the only one that feels that the above is similar to what a University emblem would look like? Hmmm.... I think it is. Thus to modern. *le sigh* I really like this idea. Oh well.
On to some examples of the final patches and the wording on them. Remember that the circle ones are going to be a circle patch (just on square 'paper' for ease of working with them). The half circle one will be a rectangle patch.
Design one (1) examples:
A simple design which would work well transiting to a patch.

Design two (2) examples:
More complex and I just like this one more. Very eye grabbing in my POV. (Yes Craig I know you think that is it to complex but I will try it anyway and see what the company says lol.)

Design three (3) examples:
The half patch or rectangular patch. Kinda fun might be made side project while working with the full ones. I dunno if I will get this done but might in the future but vote on it any way plz.

^ALL THE DESIGNS ABOVE ARE JUST EXAMPLES OF THE TEXT PLACEMENT^
Now onto the text placement options. I have lines in red shades place on the WIP patches with numbers next to the line. I would like you to give me the patch you like and the number line that you think the text would look good on.
EXAMPLE: I like patch 'A' and line 3!
If there is not a line on the place that you think the text looks best then say something like:
...I think it the text would work best and look good next to line 3!
Patch 'A'

Patch 'B'

Patch 'C'

Like last time plz leave comments on your ideas or your rants. All verbiage is going in to see how these are received and in working to improve them more.
Yes I'm odd, we have established this as well as my never growing up ^_^ MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Yay and your done (...if you voted or commented that is >.>)!

UCI Patch poll
So I have these two WIP (works in progress) patches that I've whipped up and after I'm done with them I'm going to have them made for real. (Cool I know ^_^)
And so I just wanted some views and opinions on them and a vote to see what ones you like the best. So please vote!
UCI by the way will be printed over the patches but I have yet to do the last hand drawn part of the patch, as this part was all done by computer manipulation (gimp, paint, picasa... simple programs because I'm a broke as hell artist). UCI by the way stands for "United Celtic Isle". More info below the poll on this.
Number 1
Number 2
Leave comments on your ideas or your rants. All verbiage is going in to see how these are received and in working to improve them more.
My character is part of a underground militia known as the UCI. Her name is Leeus (for right now might change in the future *shrugs*). She was born in America but ran away to the UK as a teenager. She is stationed out of Dublin right now in non-active status. That is all right now as I'm still working on her details/back story and all the surrounding bits.
On another note I have worked up dog tags (military-ish) as well and am just waiting for them to be shipped to me. I'll get pictures of them up when they come.
Both these patches and the tags are from a character that I have been working over in my head and on paper for a story and such. Anyway I just wanted to see if I could get the patches and the tags reproduced in real life because I thought they where so cool!
