Anyway I just thought that it was kinda neat.

The maker's story behind it:

"A friend of mine decided he wanted a knitted gas mask + hat to wear for winter bike trips to work. Of course I offered to do it not really thinking about how I'd actually do it. Months later (after lots of reminding) I finally finished it"
